The obesity problem has almost reached an epidemic scale. I start to believe that most of the humans are some sort of pigs who’s only purpose in life is to get more fat and to claim that it’s a genetic problem. Nobody, nobody confronts the problem from a personal perspective. People like to blame others and get rid of responsibility. What they forget though is, that once you say “I know I am responsible for my condition and therefore it’s up to me to change it” you make the first step to get in shape. Blaming society and life difficulties won’t get those 100 extra pounds of pure fat out of your system.
On the other hand, society may indeed be the biggest cause of children obesity. I’m reading a report right now that half of South- and North-American children will be overweight by 2010, as well as 38% of European children. Now where’s the common sense in that? The marketing may be the biggest problem in the case of children. They are exposed to TV candy-ads all the time. That’s right, brainwash the young population with your ads and make them addicted to the drug-like effects of sugar. F*cking pervs.
So where does this stop? Obesity, health problems, depression and death – that’s where our consumer lifestyle leads us, my friends. Unless we learn to think like individuals and not like sheep who follow the call of excessive consume we’ll stay forever trapped in this social downfall. Only the fit will survive.
You shoud get a big sledge hammer and trash that TV box. Get rid of it and you’ll see how much free time you actually have. And just think about all those constructive things you could do with that time. Like:
- learn about stock markets (something you’ve always wanted to do)
- go for a bike ride with your family
- workout
- setup your home business using that non-consumed money
- learn how to cook real food
- meet friends
- many other things
Beware of excessive consume. Gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins, means an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires. And gluttony is a deadly sin because it’s where it leads: to death.
Note: A real bodytweaker doesn’t spend more than a few hours a week in front of the stupidity-box. And he protects his children from tv-ads, like he’d protect them from fire.
Cost: 0$ to get rid of gluttony
