Who said that you need a lot of weight to do legs? I’ve been doing dumbbell squats yesterday (among other exercises). Approx. 110 lbs (50kg), going way down until you can’t go any further and only then pushing up.
Now the key here is to hold the dumbbells on your shoulders. If you hold them down, you can’t really sit down to the bottom, because at a given point your dumbbells are going to touch the ground and that’s certainly not the point of the exercise. So you hold your dumbbells on your shoulders and you sit down until your butt almost touches the ground and only then you stand up.
This may indeed sound very simple since 110 lbs. is a small weight for squats. However, if you are really almost touching the ground with your butt and do it for 3-4 sets 15-20 repetitions each, no matter how “good” you are, you are still going to “feel it”. I know it because I “feel it” to the point today that I can’t sit down to take a d**p.
I hope you enjoy (and suffer) these squats as much as I do.
Note: A real bodytweaker goes down “deeper” than anybody else while doing squats
Cost: 0$ for these beast-squats
